Examining the African-Diaspora through Printmaking
Brandywine Workshop and Archives is an arts and cultural institution located on Broad Street in Philadelphia. In my time at the organization, I was given the opportunity to design and lay out a full-length catalog for the first exhibition put on under new management: Flowing Abstraction: Contemporary African-Diaspora Printmaking.

From print to publication
01
Brainstorm Collaboration
Michele A. Parchment, Executive Director of BWA, Klare Scarborough, the curator of Flowing Abstraction, Gustavo Garcia, the head of the creative team, and I worked together to assemble a rough set of ideas for adapting the exhibition and its written content into a catalog.
03
Layout
I was left to begin laying out the full length of the catalog in the most effective yet visually appealing way possible. I regularly checked in with the rest of the creative team for input and suggestions for improvement as I continued working and laying out the exhibition catalog
02
Print Photography
Following the approval of all the written content, the next step was to work with the rest of the creative team including the photography and video who aided in taking high-quality photos of each featured print for the best application in the catalog.
04
Release
After several considerations and final reviews the catalog was released to Highpoint Print Center, a fellow printmaking nonprofit who hosted the exhibition as it travelled across the country. To this day the catalog awaits a final upload to the BWA website.
