Le Cat Cafe Redesign

Le Cat Cafe is Philadelphia's first cat cafe creating a perfect environment for guests to interact with adoptable cats before committing to adoption. Cats are also socialized to interact with other felines and people alike, making them even better candidates for a new furry friend. I wanted to redesign the experience of Le Cat Cafe as it is an organization close to my heart as a cat lover and keeper of two Cat Cafe alumni. The current design of the cafe no longer stands up to its competitors who are more visually appealing and more stimulating for the cats. A fresh redesign would bring in more guests off the street, a more enjoyable visit, and a better environment for the cats that call the cafe home. The most important part of approaching this redesign was creating an environment inspired by the cats that live in the cafe while still maintaining the same infrastructure already existing in the cafe. I wanted a space that was just as fun and accessible for the cats as it is for people. The new redesign focuses on bringing in more exciting colors and cat-themed motifs, almost as if the cats decorated the space themselves. I created a handwritten font for all headings to add to the effect of chaos from cats. The color palette is ultra vibrant to be visible to cats and contrast with the usually more naturally toned cats of all shapes and colors.
