A Blue Background
My name is Blue Koenig and I am a Junior Designer. I recently graduated from Drexel University's Westphal College of Art and Design majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Gender Studies. I am ready to dive into the design world and learn more about bringing my own designs to the table. My approach to design focuses highly on vibrant colors and accessible and friendly designs that allow anyone, young or old, to interact and learn from them.
I am looking for a new position to continue refining my design skills as a junior designer where I can learn more about the real-world applications of my schooling. I would love to connect with anyone in design who happens across me here!
Work Experience

August 2022 - April 2023
May 2022 - September 2022
Summer 2022 - Present
Head Designer and Social Media Specialist at Brandywine Workshop and Archives
I have held an internship and now a part-time position at Brandywine Workshop and Archives, a small arts organization in South Philadelphia focused on creating equal and equitable spaces for a diverse background of artists to create and sell prints using techniques like lithography and silkscreening. I was promoted to Head Graphic Designer in November 2023 and have created all design materials for the organization since. I have also maintained the social media presence of BWA since I began my work with the organization.
Freelance work through Bluetuna Designs and Barista
at Saxbys at the University of Pennsylvania
After gaining experience through classes, I worked on freelance projects by word of mouth and applications. I did contract work for a small luxury handbag company and various printmaking projects before stepping aside in April.
In addition, I worked in the food service industry at a local chain coffee shop, Saxbys. I gained interpersonal and management skills with fellow team members by tackling major rushes, complex orders, and feisty customers.
Drexel Prospective Student Events and Summer Program
I and another student were chosen to be camp councilors and teacher's aids for the Drexel Graphic Design Program High School Summer Program, a week-long camp introducing high school students to the program through projects and engagement with the Drexel and Philadelphia communities. I was later asked to return through my sophomore and junior years to lead open houses and
admitted student events.
Drexel Visual Studies Printmaking Shop Monitor
I have served as a Print Shop Monitor for Drexel's Visual Studies program for several years managing and monitoring students enrolled in various printmaking courses from woodcut prints to screenprinting. I found a real love for screenprinting and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with enrolled students to help improve their projects. I use the privilege to continue my screenprinting and printmaking practices by using the facilities.
